This lovely kokeshi doll amigurumi pattern is the perfect project for a beginner who wants something easy to try out. And it's equally perfect for a more advanced crocheter who need to destash or who just want to make something really cute in an afternoon. The kokeshi dolls are super fun to personalize and get really creative with. You can make them as elaborate or as simple as you wish - go crazy with beads and embroidery thread or just use some yarn to make the flowers. The possibilities are endless!

*SIZE & YARN CHOICE*
The size of the finished amigurumi depends on the weight of your yarn. You can use any yarn you like, just make sure the crochet needle is a couple sizes smaller than recommended.
My dolls are 10 cm (4”) tall (including the head bun). They are made with medium weight yarn (4) and a 3.5 mm crochet hook. I used less than 1 skein á 50 g of each color. The eyes are 7 mm in diameter.
