The princess cake is a traditional Swedish layer cake filled with whipped cream and topped with green marzipan (my favorite part!). If you're lucky enough to get this cake for your birthday, you'll get to eat the pink marzipan rose on top, all by yourself. You're the envy of the party then!
Baking the princess cake is not a piece of cake, but crocheting it is! It's the perfect project for a novice crocheter and a more experienced one will whip up a cake in a few hours.
This cake is perfect for any kids play shop or café! And it makes the cutest hostess gift or present for that friend who loves to sew but has everything (it doubles as a pin cushion!).
